A Summer holiday Outfit for 43cm Dolls

Within two montht’s summer holidays time again! So
still some time to pepare our vacation wardrobe . And of
course the wardrobe of the doll too!
Op het Summer fun patroon (BD1603) voor de pop van 43cm
staan allerlei leuke zomerjurkjes, een zonnehoedje én geweldige slippers of
sandalen…..die je zelf kunt maken!!

On the Summer fun pattern (BD1603) for 43 cm dolls are all kinds of
fun summer dresses, a Sun Hat and lovely sandals ..... which you can make
yourself!!
Nadat ik een jurkje en een broekje had gemaakt, in 2
zomerse stofjes, koos ik nog een bijpassend
derde stofje om te verweken in de zonnehoed. En met datzelfde stofje ben
ik aan de sandalen begonnen. Het enige wat hiervoor extra nodig hebt is
knutselfoam. Ik gebruikte wit met golfpatroon (ribbels) en glad rood. Je hebt
een klein stukje stof nodig voor de bandjes over de voet en de bandjes die
achter de hiel komen (met een stukje elastiek)

After I had made a dress and a pair of troussers, in 2
different summer fabrics, I chose another matching third fabric for the Sun
hat. And with that same fabric I started with the Sandals.The only thing
additional need is craft foam. I used white foam with a wave pattern (ridges)
and smooth red foam. You only need a small piece of fabric for the band on the foot and the heel band
casing (with a piece of elastic band)
Je begint met de hielbandjes: die vouw je als biaisband
en dan smal op de rand vaststikken. Door dit tunneltje rijg je elastiek. Even
op beide uiteinden vaststikken, zodat het elastiek blijft zitten.

You start with the heel band casing: fold the strap as
biais tape and topstich close to the edge. Pull the elastic band trough the
casing and stitch at each end to keep the elastic in place.
Dan vouw je de band (voor op de voet) met ingeslagen naad
dubbel. De plek waar de hielbandjes ertussen moeten worden vastgezet zijn
aangegeven op het patroon. Deze naad stik je weer smal op de kant, met de
hielbandjes ertussenuit, vast.

allowance and stitch down with the edges of the heel band in the marked places.
Ik heb ook de vouwrand smal op de kant doorgestikt, omdat ik dat mooier vond.

I also stiched the edge of the fold, because I found it more beautiful .
Nu knip je het knutselfoam in de juiste vorm van de zool,
volgens het patroon. Ik heb 3 laagjes per zooltje gebruikt: 2 witte en één rode
voor ertussenin. Ik naaide eerst het voetbandje aan het rode, middelste
zooltje. Daarna heb ik de andere zooltjes (de witte) er aan de onder- en
bovenkant tegenaan geplakt. Nu zie je het stiksel niet mee, maar zit het
stoffen bandje toch goed vast.

Then you cut
the craft foam in the shape of the sole. I made 3 layers per sole: 2 white
soles and 1 red in the middle. I first sewed the footband to the red, middle
sole. Then I glued the white soles on the red sole top and bottem. The
stitching is not visible, but the footband very good attached. I used mounting
kit that dries transparent. Press down well (I used pegs) and your sandals are ready.
Ik gebruikte transparant opdrogende montagekit voor het plakken. Even goed aandrukken (met knijpers) en de sandaaltjes zijn klaar.
